Just Jie Yang now.

Goodbye, Sidelined Student.

I have no idea why would anyone like Steven Lim. Not that I support Xiaxue, anyway.

without comments

If you are a supporter of this guy,

goodboy.jpg

I would think you’re crazy, unless the reason why you support him, is really, to just spite Xiaxue (not that she’ll care anyway.) I am totally amazed by the fact that although he self-proclaims he’s the most handsome man in the universe, people are still unfazed by his lack of shame, and continue to support him.

Take a look at the truly, most handsome men in the world.

matt_damon1_300_400.jpg

The world’s top money-earned-per-person-by-a-movie star- Matt Damon

44_brad_pitt.jpg

Most talked about person, Brad Pitt. Handsome, and wants a international football team of children.

normal_07.jpg

Zac Efron, charming young man, has a girlfriend that bared her body to half the world.

sohandsomepic2edit.jpg

But him? What the hell. I must be blinded in a car accident to think he’s a handsome man. The only attributes I would say he has, that is positive , is erm he can speak Singlish, and can clown for us all to watch. His latest video, which whacks out as Xiaxue for insulting him on Shoot 3 (some Channel U talkshow), was so vulgar. He was shouting “You sucks“, “You sucks ” all the way. Comical guy.

Then he declares twice throughout the vid, “You are a big Chicken PIE.” He’s hip, and cool, and is as vulgar as a Primary One kid when furious.

Okay, I shall give him some credit. He can keep his cool on National TV when insulted by Xiaxue. If it was me (highly impossible), I would have broke off Xiaxue nose.

untitled.JPG

Yup. You got that right. I am a violent creature when scorned.

Now, onto Xiaxue.

Perhaps it’s an irony that the related tag on Technorati when you search “steven lim” is “wendy cheng”.

Other than bitching, bitching, and more bitching about her perceived injustices dealt to her, I cannot see what is the appeal of her blog. Perhaps it’s the innate evil in us that wants to read about some other person’s bad day and laugh at her evily. Hm, pity her boyfriend. He must be a cool, quiet guy with a high threshold of external irritation.

I shall be fair to her too. She is, at least honest about everything she writes (though it makes her seem totally dumb) and also, she can use good english when she wants to. Erm, yeah, I prefer reading stuff in proper English. It raises my standard of English. Well, that is only when she turns angry and royal, and starts spewing out insults in good english. She uses “fucking” instead of “you sucks” too.

Hmm. Her fake nose? I don’t really care, on the contary. How many peeps down the road have fake noses, fake assets, and everything on one’s body is like, erm, imitation goods. But, brains cannot be changed, nor can they be enhanced, so I suppose stupidity is innate in somebody.

Somehow rather, girls who like pink obsessively seem very bimbo-ish to me.

But then again, you have to be pretty to be a bimbo, so I’m sorry, Xiaxue.

Gah, okay, as I scroll down her blog for more aspects to criticize, I can’t help but point out that she just committed the seventh sin of blogging- Cam-whoring.

Yup. Final verdict: Only visit either one when you’re super bored like me.

And this is the last tee design for Ping.SG!

Monks = Peaceful (?)

with 3 comments

By reading The Straits Times, you would have probably noticed that the idea of monks being peaceful and living in serenity is probably distorted. Well, while those really traditional monks are seriously all knowing and ever-peaceful, you would have noticed the rise of monks (and fake ones) perhaps, ruining the image altogether.

I would love to see monks being like this.

From Wantok at deviantart

Rather than being scammers and beggars in Singapore (as in those fake-os), real monks don’t beg for money, you know.

fakemonks.jpg

(Picture took from STInteractive)

And definitely not those kind in movies or shows.

xiaolin2.jpg

No. Monks don’t have an “eye of Dashi” that spurts water out of the blue, nor do they recruit members around the world. Neither do they fight evil baddies nowadays.

bulletmonk.jpg

Bulletproof Monk?! I won’t want monks to carry guns to protect themselves too.

And lastly, monks in Burma.

32765579.jpg

Yup. My opinion is, if you want peace, don’t protest. Look at Thaksin; thrown over by a bloodless coup. Burma? Yet another failed, bloody affair like many others in its stained history.

Hm. So much for world peace. We are living in a world that can no longer be solved by violence? Internet is like the sling of David against Goliath, yo. Not violence and guerilla forces.

But whatever you all do, I just want peace and a conducive environment to study in.

Taken from warpedbabidoll off deviantart

Yup. Peace. The eternal goal for all Miss Universe-s.

Pissed off on first day of exam by Stupid Sec 1 students.

without comments

Today’s english exam was pretty good. The Stimulus Response Question (sounds super cheem, actually it’s just a critique of an article) was a considerable breeze as it was on elitism, which is what my research paper is on. Hee. I was stifling my laughter throughout the whole paper. I don’t think I would do well for essay though. I forgot that the test markers were idiots and I didn’t define the word learning”. Wow. Then the comprehension was on body clocks and biological cycles. Pretty cool passage. Sexual drive apparently increases in autumn, instead of spring. They said poets misled people into thinking sexual drive was at its peak in spring. Amazing and lovely authors.

Anyway, I was trying to get a peaceful ride home, only to squeeze on the bus with a whole herd of cows, Sec 1 students. They were so rowdy, I had to blast my Zen micro to mute them out. I think this were what they were trying to say.

convo.jpg

I’m sorry for the blurriness of the photo. It was a shoot-and-keep-cam operation.

Yup. I hope the rest of the exams are easy too.

By the way, this is my 4th and last entry for Ping.SG’s Tee Design Competition.

Buy, Sell, Call, Connect: My new Wallet

without comments

scene-1.JPG

This was bought by Weekian as a late birthday gift. Very late. It’s got a pretty nice design though. You have to give it a few more stares before it starts to appeal to you.

scene-2.JPG

Haha I love this scene of the Mocca advertisment.

scene-3.JPG

It’s got a huge boot too.

scene-5.JPG

Want to see more?

scene-4.JPG

Haha. That’s the post for you, Weekian, to fulfil your ego.

I missed taking of class photo today. I got sick, so I stayed at home till 8 mugging biology. Although it was a fulfilling 2 hours, nothing can replace the class photo with me inside. I told Jeremy to photoshop me in it, and he told me to remind him after exams.

I got 9/20 for my stimulus response question too. Mrs Lee told me to read between the lines, I said I couldn’t tell what she was looking for, and she replied telling me I would have a hard time with girls next time.

Cool. She can read minds.

Oh yah, she’s a girl too, so are all my other teachers. No wonder I have a hard time at school. Whoops, did I say girl? I mean lady.

Anyway, I’ll be having my oral defence tomorrow, which is the presentation of my research paper on Elitism. And that is followed by English End of Year Exams on Friday. The 9/20 is such a morale booster.

Not feeling very wordy today. I’ll try to be on hiatus until 12/10/07. Until my exams end.

You can attempt to boost my morale by leaving some half-sincere words of encouragement under the comments and tagboard (under blogroll).

Yup. Good Luck to all taking exams :)

I WON A NINTENDO WII FOR THE SGCOOL BLOG COMPETITION!

Oh yeah~ Everyone let’s do the victory dance! And Kuanhua got the third prize for copying my account. Not bad lah, it’s a Nintendo DS.

I had been checking my mail all day in school. It just read 498 messages, 498 messages, and 498 messages for the inbox until I returned home after cutting my hair. And then, it became 500 messages. It just had to be Wei Chong emailing me.

And there it was.

God I am so damn freaked out.

I really want to thank the following people:

  1. My parents for forcing me off the computer whenever I was trying to coerce persuade my friends into voting for me.
  2. Liang, Davin, Jiaklorhmee, Victor Gan and ahem, Zhiyang, for helping me publicise to their blogging community.
  3. Harry, Weekian and my brother (who is sapping me of 50 dollars) for helping me to publicize through word of mouth.
  4. Mr Paul Ho, for helping me send out an SMB message, and calling on the whole HwaChong to vote for me.

Singaporean whacks out at Chinese National, Chinese National whacks back.

with 4 comments

I was surfing tomorrow.sg, obviously was attracted by this post.

Screenshot

Obviously, I read on. so I clicked the link. And it was a very interesting read. Apparently, the writer was infuriated by another blogger, which is, while appearing scholarly, is in fact, well substianted to support his own agenda, to point out that Chinese Nationals are hated in Singapore. Well, you can check out his post here.

I am not really sure which side to take. I can almost hear Mr. Hon’s haunting words (that’s positive), telling me that the introduction into schools are, as you may guess, great, but hey, I am entitled to my own opinion. Well, here it is. I don’t really think they add to the competition.

Well, you see, I am just the typical student. Whether they come a not, there are already those elite students which are ahead of me, I will just stagnate at that position because, well, they will improve just as fast as me too. Maybe even faster. I am desensitized to competition. (Hence, the lack of exam stress). I have straight-A brothers, so well, my home already exposed me to such pressure. I’m sure Singaporeans are in general, concerned about the challenge the foreign talents post, but if we are to continue to have a outward approach, we are still way behind these foreign nationals. Is it to say that we are to clam up so as to prevent competition from increasing in Singapore?

I think not.

We need to face up to the pressure. The blogger, Terence, who infuriated Zhao Lin, the Chinese National, is probably being not that rational. If the Chinese colleague of his mom took her comission, just report in to the supervisor? Why involve nationalities in a monetary dispute? I bet, if the colleague was a Singaporean, his mom would probably not hesitate to report him/her. Come on, money is intenational. I don’t think I would give in if a westerner or Chinese National actually took my comission. I want my money.

I quote from Terence,

—–

Chinese Nationals seemed to have incurred the wrath of many Singaporeans. Some don’t like the way they talk, some despise their loud mannerisms and incomprehensible accents, and others scorn their ‘uncouth’ behavior and their ruthlessness. Even in NTU, the tidal wave of Chinese Nationals that suddenly flood our halls and our lecture theatres is enough to irk some students.

—–

We go to Western countries, I think that’s what they will think of us too. We should not like you know, whack out at others just because they are in a foreign land and resume their habits. While they should attempt to be assimilated into our country by tweaking their own habits, you can’t possibly attempt to make them change totally in front of their friends of the same nationality. It isn’t natural. It’s erm, me faking an accent after I go to England for 3 years. Yeah. Super unnatural.

Zhao Lin totally rocks. Look at this excerpt.

—–

Thank you so much for giving me the chance to express my opinions on the recent hoo-hah about China exports. I have been eating food made in China for twenty years. (Yes, I still have to eat food made in China even when I am in Singapore.) And my tortoise has been living on food made in China for two years. (Ok. I admit. I purposely fed it with poisonous food made in China because I wanted it to become a TMNT.) And I have been playing with toys made in China ever since I was a kid. (Oh, no! That 1.5-meter Teddy Bear on my bed is made in China too!) AND I AM STILL ALIVE. What a surprise! What a surprise that many China women can live more than 100 years even though they have been eating, drinking, using and wearing China products for their entire life!

—–

Oh come on, I may avoid China products (those kind of super cheap and you know they’re bound to be a scam.), but there are some products from China which are okay. I just think we should avoid those that are, ahem, too good to be true.

Zhao Lin is super humourous. But just a tinge to biased to properly substantiate his arguments.

Well, as I said previously, some forum users are just dumber than dumb, no EQ, nothing up in that space above their eyes except for a dense rock. Look at what this insensitive idiot said.

Stupid Idiot

Yup. Dumb faggot.

I am hereby proud to say my good friend, Shao Fei, is a product of China, and packaged in Singapore.

Friend of A China Boy

I do wonder why he always grins like that though. Looks kinda dumb.

My Ping.SG Tee Design PART TWO! You can flame this too!

without comments

Erm yeah, this the second variation. The original one I had in mind until the “I think, I blog, And I ping” thingy came to mind. I have also edited the first variation into a new one. I hope the “singapore bloggers” stand out more. The “ping.sg” also looks more stylish now, in my opinion.

Thanks for all your support!

Design 2

I hope you can see the word that is censored is actually “fucking”. Heh.

Oh yah, and the “ping (ged)” is me taking a stab at the Motored adverts.

Haha yup, this is the edited first variation. Thanks for your feedback! You can continue to comment, I’ll keep editing till October 1st!
